Causses
is situated 20 kilometres north of Béziers (famed for
its cathedral, St Nazaire) and is only half an hour away
from the A9 motorway.
Causses et Veyran has a boulangerie; a small corner shop;
butcher shop and a bar (not serving food). The nearest
“supermarket” is at Murviel les Béziers. Most things are
within easy reach: golf, walking, canoeing, and cycling,
are all accessible. Alternatively, for more leisurely
pursuits, visit the Caves of the local vineyards; and
wander around the markets sampling local delicacies.
Only 15 minutes away is Roquebrun with river bathing,
kayaking, restaurants and a Mediterranean garden. It's
30 minutes drive to browse amongst the antique shops of
Pézanas.
Restaurants serving typical French cuisine are at Murviel
les Béziers, Cessenon sur Orb and Roquebrun. Béziers has
streets of international restaurants and shops. |
